1) Four Week July SUMMER INTENSIVE PROGRAM July 9 - August 3, 2012
Ballet Royale Minnesota’s July Summer Intensive provides
students ages 9 and up an exciting and rigorous ballet-based dance
program. Master teachers join our renowned faculty to give professional
instruction in a structured and focused setting, allowing each student
to reach his or her full potential.
Classes include Classical Ballet
Technique, Pointe, Preparation for Pointe, Modern, Jazz and Character
dance, Variations, Repertoire, Men’s class, Acting,
Pilates, Lectures, Choreographic
Methods, Injury Prevention and Conditioning .
The Summer Intensive is a flexible, one, two, three, or
four week program that culminates in a student Showcase Performance on
the last day for students attending the full four weeks. Students may
sign up for any or all of the first three weeks in any combination; the
fourth week is only open to students attending the full program. The
Intensive is intended to accommodate students’ summer schedules as much
as possible, allowing those who are unable to commit to the full four
weeks the opportunity to still receive quality professional summer
training. Students are encouraged to attend as many weeks as possible to
obtain the greatest benefit.
Enrollment in the Program is
limited, in order to maintain the quality of the training. Class
placements for those accepted into the Summer Intensive are made based
on the order Registrations are received.

2) August Two Week Ballet & Jazz Repertory Workshop August 13 – 25, 2012 (Two Week Session, Six Days per Week)
This second Intensive Program offers Classical Ballet and Jazz Dance Technique, Classical Variations & Nutcracker Choreography. Mondays – Saturdays, 9:30am – 2:00pm (Two Separate Levels)

Talented and focused intermediate and advanced classical ballet students (minimum of one year of Advanced Youth Ballet and higher, with a minimum of one year Pointe) experience what it is like to be in an actual ballet company!
This two-week classical ballet and performance jazz dance immersion program consists of two separate levels and runs Mondays through Saturdays. Taught and conducted by professional dance instructors, students train daily in classical ballet technique, Pointe, and Jazz Dance (“performance jazz” or “theatrical” ballet- based jazz),followed by repertory rehearsals.
Students learn classical ballet variations and choreography from Twin Cities Ballet’s The Nutcracker, and will also have the opportunity to perform classic-style jazz dance numbers with Twin Cities Ballet at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center as part of Burnsville’s “Art and All That Jazz” festival on August 18, 2012.
Requirements • Students must be between 12 and 23 years of age. • Have had a minimum of three years of classical ballet training. • Minimum of one year of Pointe training. • Acceptance by Audition Only: Live on February 26 or April 15, 2012, or via Video/DVD • Session runs two weeks, six days per week. • Price: $460
